Prepare Your Soul For This $50,000 Supercharged Craigslist Hell-Viper

The first Dodge Viper has a reputation for being difficult to drive at the limit. From the factory, the car made almost 500 lb.-ft. of torque from its 8.0-liter V10 and had virtually no safety equipment or electronic aids. We can’t imagine doubling the horsepower would make it any less frightening to drive.

But that’s exactly what the previous owners did to this 1996 white example found on Craigslist in Baltimore. Featuring a Paxton Novi Centrifugal-style supercharger running 11 psi of boost and fully built bottom end, this Viper is said to make 937 horsepower to the wheels on E85 fuel, which is kind of absurd.

Of course, there’s a ton of other upgrades added to handle all that extra grunt. More powerful fuel pumps, a triple-pass high-flow radiator, a front-mounted heat exchanger, and upgraded high-strength axles are also included.

Thankfully, the seller’s also added an AEM Infinity ECU with an 11-way programmable traction control system, meaning you won’t be totally on your own once you put your foot down.

Still, we recommend taking some caution behind the wheel of this Viper, should you be brave enough to drop $50,000 to own it. We sure would.
