We love a good barn find, and this ’69 Dodge Daytona Charger certainly qualifies as one of those.
It was found in a barn in mid-Alabama, and it’s just one of only 503 ever built. The forgotten automobile sat in a barn for over four decades before being rediscovered.
The owner of the car, who purchased the vehicle in 1972 for $1800, painted flames on the side of the car, and took it down to a beach in Florida for spring break. Shortly after, the owner bumped the nose into something, putting a dent on his new Dodge.
The car was then parked in a barn with plans to fix the dent before bringing it out on the road, and there it sat for the next forty years. The car is going up for auction, and it’s expected to sell for nearly $180K. [Purchase]
