It seems amazing to me that anyone would abandon their car dealership with good sales stock still on the floor! Surely you wouldn’t close the doors to your shop until every last vehicle had rolled out of the door! Well, it would seem that this isn’t always the case…for various reasons, some car dealerships close down with brand new cars still siting in the showrooms and some of those, now classic cars, are still there to this day!
Abandoned BMW Dealership In The US
In 1988 the dealer, operating under the name “Citation Motors,” lost it’s franchise. They then moved to Toronto under the name “Downtown BMW” which in turn closed in 2002.
635 CSi Showroom!
The owner was apparently wealthy and had no interest in selling the building, or even the inventory, as everything seems to have been left behind intact.
80’s Time Capsule
Still in the showroom was an E24 and a 635csi BMW in near perfect condition having been hidden away from the elements. The 635csi, has covered almost no mileage at all. The interior of the dealership displays typical 80’s design too.
Mint 635 CSi
At the back of the dealership you’ll find an untouched yard which has more stock packed in. Frozen in time and packed with BMWs. there is also another mint black 635csi inside the workshop.
Ghost Chrysler Dealership, East Liverpool, Ohio
This ghost Dealership belonged to a man called Basil Mangano and in fact may still do. He had a chain of dealerships, but sold them all off when he retired in 1998. In the unseen area there are another 35-40 classic cars including a Chevrolet LUV, a (Dodge) Warlock and Red Express.
Hemmed In By Weeds
He collected all the cars he had scattered about and assembled them all here.
Although the 67 red Plymouth Fury and blue ’78 Fury occupy the primary place at the front of the showroom, there are more cars round the back.

Abandoned Toyota Dealership In Cyprus
The cars and the dealership were abandoned during the Turkish invasion creating a dusty time capsule of 1970s Toyota models including Corollas and Celicas.
Amazing Frozen Celica
After the invasion by Turkey in 1974 a large part of Northern Cyprus became a cease-fire line, protected by UN.
Whilst other areas managed to re build and carry on as usual, cities like Famagusta and Nicosia remain largely abandoned since then. Car-dealers such as Ford as well as Toyota were left abandoned with new cars just standing the way they were on the day they were left, over 30 years ago.
Abandoned AMC Dealership In North Carolina
Essentially, when AMC started selling Renault’s the owner of this garage, Collier Motors, decided to stay with the American made AMC brand only and when he eventually lost the franchise in the mid 80’s he started collecting the most collectible AMC’s. He also apparently already had a collection of Nash’s rusting away.
The garage owner just decided to keep as many AMC’s as possible and amassed a great many of them which just sat on his lot.
All Parked Up With Nowhere To Go
Even though most are now rusting away and siting on flat tyres, some still have price tickets in the windows, now faded in the sun.
The first AMC, AMX he kept was bought from an Air Force pilot who drove it on the Autobahn in Germany.
200 Classic Cars, Bikes And Trucks
A collection of some 200 old cars, mainly Fiats, but including other European brands as well as classic bikes and trucks have been found in Kolding, Denmark, many of them brand new ‘old’ stock.
